IT was a momentous occasion for the residents of Muscat who were looking forward to the inauguration of LuLu Hypermarket at Darsait.The second LuLu Hypermarket in the city was declared open on Monday by Oman Minister of Commerce and Industry Maqbool Bin Ali Bin Sultan in the presence of Chairman MK Abdullah, Managing Director of EMKE Group Yusuffali, Indian Ambassador Ashok Kumar Attri, senior government officials and other dignitaries from various establishments.
A crowd of over 20,000 eager shoppers thronged the hypermarket located at Darsait looking for the best bargains in town. According to Yusuffali, the new Lulu hypermarket will present the residents an unparalleled shopping experience comparable to the best in the region."LuLu has always focused on shopper satisfaction and this has been the single most significant factor for its phenomenal growth and popularity," he added.The shopping centre will offer a whole world of shopping convenience with popular brands of a wide variety of product lines under one roof.
A popular feature of LuLu Hypermarket will be the special section for Omani products in addition to a wide selection of consumer staples and durables. The hypermarket will also feature popular outlets including the Damas and Atlas Jewellery, Oman UAE Exchange, McDonald's, Dar Opticals, Amalia Perfumes, Hour choice and host of other specialty stores from cosmetics to coffee shop.
