Lulu Hypermarket Gets Appreciation for Food Safety

LuLu plans HACCP certification for all hypermarkets.

Dubai- Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, or ADFCA, recently honored the prominent supermarkets and hotels with their annual appreciation awards. At a function held in Beach Rotan Hotel, Dr Mariam Harib Sultan Al Yousuf, Director- Standards and Regulations of ADFCA gave away awards and certificates to the winners. Many of the LULU stores in the Abu Dhabi & Al Ain regions were presented with Appreciations Awards. During the presentations, the ADFCA, officials highlighted the various health and hygiene guidelines for the food retailing sector and their vision of making Abu Dhabi the best practitioner of internationally acclaimed health standards.

Saifee T Rupawala, CEO of LuLu Hypermarkets said “health and hygiene standards are paramount importance to us and we are continuously working with both our in-house team as well as the ADFCA officials to upgrade and maintain our standards.” He also added some of our stores have already got Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point, or HACCP certification and we are in the process of getting all our hypermarkets certified.
