Abu Dhabi: LuLu Hypermarket in partnership with Emirates Red Crescent have launched the selling of exclusive Red Crescent merchandise throughout our stores in the UAE. Dr. Mohammed Atiq Al Falahi, Secretary General of Emirates Red Crescent, inaugurated the launch event in a function held at LuLu Hypermarket in Khalidiyah Mall, Abu Dhabi. Yusuff Ali M.A., Managing Director of LuLu Group International, and senior officials of Emirates Red Crescent were present at the occasion.
Emirates Red Crescent which is the apex humanitarian agency of UAE has spent more than Dhs. 6 billion in more than 100 countries. Their many initiatives and projects have brought joy and comfort to lives of millions of people affected by natural calamities, poverty, wars and conflicts and other tragedies.
Commenting on the launch of Red Crescent products, Dr. Mohammed Atiq Al Falahi said, "We want to involve more people from our community into the various charitable and humanitarian activities and this can best be achieved through reaching out to them and we are glad to see LuLu Group has partnered with us in this noble deed. We have sourced some very useful and high quality products which will be very much liked by the large shopping cosmopolitan population of UAE. By purchasing these products, the local community will be contributing to our various initiatives in the world over."
The merchandise are available at all LuLu stores and includes caps, T-shirts, bags, lanterns, badges, wallets, etc. and they are priced moderately to get maximum support from people of different income groups.
Yusuff Ali M.A. added, "We are honored to be chosen by Emirates Red Crescent to be their partner in this unique venture and we pledge maximum support throughout all our stores in the UAE by putting up dedicated stands to promote and sell these products." LuLu Hypermarket will not be taking any portion of the sales proceed and the entire amount will be given back to Red Crescent as part of our CSR initiative.
