Sheikh Nahyan inaugurates the new LuLu Hypermarket at Capital Mall, Abu Dhabi

LuLu Hypermarket opened its 108th branch at the new Capital Mall in Mohammed Bin Zayed City near Mussafah on 3rd February 2014. Billed as the biggest hypermarket in Abu Dhabi, the 230,000 sq. ft. store was inaugurated by HH Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Culture, Youth & Community Development. The new hypermarket is spread over 2 levels with the food & grocery section on the ground floor and department and lifestyle products in the 1st floor. It is all set to be the convenient shopping destination for residents of the bustling suburbs of MBZ City, Khalifa City, Mussafah and nearby areas.

Speaking about the store launch, Yusuff Ali MA, Managing Director of the LuLu Group said, "This is our group's biggest hypermarket till date and truly represents our high standards of quality. While all our stores follow the strictest standards in terms of store fittings, hygiene and food safety regulations, this hypermarket will set new benchmarks for the retail industry of the region."

"It has been our policy to bring world class shopping as close as possible to the shoppers rather than make them drive long distances. Now with more than 37 sourcing offices worldwide including UK, Africa and the Far East, we are fully equipped to serve the diverse population of this cosmopolitan country. Another highlight of the new hypermarket is the special section devoted to locally grown vegetables and fruits. It will not only let shoppers buy fresh produce but also help the local farming community" added Yusuff Ali.

The very first day witnessed a huge rush of shoppers as many attractive inaugural offers and promotions have been launched.
