Billed as the biggest hypermarket in the city of Kuwait, the 230,000 sq.ft. Lu&Lu Hypermarket in Dajeej, off the Sixth Ring Road was inaugurated on Saturday, 15th February, 2014 at 11:00 am. Sheikh Nimer Fahad Al Sabah, Secretary - Finance and Commerce, and Sheikh Abdullah Humoud Faisal Al Sabah inaugurated the hypermarket. Members from the ruling royal family and Lu&Lu Group management were also present at the ceremony.
The new hypermarket, the group’s 109th branch, is all set to provide a world-class shopping experience to residents of the bustling suburbs of Messilah, Mishref, Salwa, Ishbiliya, Khaitan, and Jleeb Al Shuyoukh.
Mohammed Haris, Regional Director of Lu&Lu Hypermarket, Kuwait, during an interaction with the media said, “This is our group’s biggest hypermarket in Kuwait and truly represents quality and convenience at its best. While all our stores follow the highest standards in terms of store fittings, hygiene and food safety regulations, this hypermarket will set new benchmarks for the retail industry in Kuwait.”
“It has been our policy to bring world-class shopping as close as possible to the shoppers rather than make them drive long distances. The hypermarket includes a special section to promote locally grown vegetables and fruits, which will not only give shoppers a chance to buy fresh produce but also help the local farming community”, he added.
