Abu Dhabi: The LuLu Group has been ranked 3rd in the prestigious Forbes “TOP 100 companies making an impact in the Arab world” list. LuLu is the only company in the list that is owned by an Indian. The award was presented to Mr. Yusuff Ali M. A. by HH Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Culture, Youth and Social Development, at a glittering ceremony held at the Ritz Carlton, Abu Dhabi. The function was attended by govt. officials, businessmen and other dignitaries. National Commercial Bank of Saudi Arabia bagged the first position while UAE's Al Futtaim Group secured the second position. The list covers companies operating in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain and Lebanon. The criteria used for ranking are financial results, CSR programmes, global presence, no. of subsidiaries, employee strength, and the assessments of independent auditors and the Forbes research team.
